¡Qué te performen!

¡Qué te performen! The scenic duo ¡Qué te performen! are Irene Sanfiel and Fidel Darias, who have developed their artistic career both together and individually, in and beyond the Canary Islands. The work of this duo focuses on the use and exploration of the body through different kinds of performances, defining this body as a tool for mediation and communicative action. ¡Qué te performen! is a company that uses an artistic language of its own to invigorate those spaces that make up the intersection between performance, plastic and visual arts and theatre, in a disruptive and critical way, always keeping a touch of humour in their expressions. Their scenic proposals adapt to the space that they are going to occupy, always through the use of the body, in a constant search for a dialogue between the intervening subject and their footprint in the space, associating and blurring the distance between the public and private spaces of reality by planning happenings and interactive actions in which their audiences are always invited to participate.

Overexposed. Over Exposed is a scenic piece whose conceptual core revolves around the overexposure of bodies to new technologies. This piece was conceived and devised during artistic residencies of the TEA-Tenerife Espacio de las Artes and the Auditorio de Tenerife. Its research process was carried out by its promoters, Irene Sanfiel and Fidel Darias, and it has been developing from 2015 up until now, thanks to the participation and active collaboration of the members of the Action Experimental project. This piece is defined by its interpretation of the digital-body footprint based on experimentation in the physical and digital realms, and on interaction with the audience and their intervention in the piece, all of which creates a collage of visual readings whose identity will be built through the multiple interpretations and points of view of each person taking part in the action.
