La Reversa Cía. de Danza

La Reversa is established in 2018 as a way to formalize the collaboration between both dancers and creators Laura Marrero and Carmen Macías, and the light designer Alfredo Díez arose in the creation process IRREVERENTE, developed during an artistic residence in Centro Coreográfico de La Gomera (Spain, December 2017), and a technical residence in Teatro Victoria (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain, March 2017). The reason of establishing a dance company is to continue exploring the entanglements between both languages of movement and light from the earliest stages of creation.

Irreverente. It’s time for silence, for changing the point of view and perceive the sensation, for catching the instant and empty the spaces. A moment of exploration in which bodies let themselves be captivated by the silence as an state of irreverence for questioning and search. The irreverence is presented as a stop, in this case as a ‘lack of reverence’ towards the realization of unceasing, unconscious actions, or as a ‘lack of respect’ (from latin: respectus ‘to look again’) by doing actions just to do them, without reflection, and mostly without sensation.
