Jazmín Chiodi & Alexandre Iseli
Alexandre Iseli and Jazmin Chiodi founded, direct and produce Tipperary Dance Platform: an integrated year-round programme for the development of dance, that culminates with the week-long TDP’ international dance festival, one of Ireland’s leading dance events (10th edition in 2010). Tipperary Dance Platform provides resources for dance professionals and activities for the community. Taking place in October, TDP’ is a curated festival featuring performances by international and Irish-based dance companies, a masterclass programme, laboratories, screen dance, exhibitions, symposiums, and more.
Jazmin Chiodi (Arg/Ire) and Alexandre Iseli (CH) have been creating contemporary dance works since 2008 under the name Iseli-Chiodi dance company. Their creative journey is characterised by the emergence of distinct choreographic textures through collaborative processes. Iseli-Chiodi’s pieces have been performed in Ireland, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, USA, Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, and Korea. Recent highlights include: Revolver (2017); The Endelss Story of Trying to Make New Out of a Single Self, a solo commissioned by Dublin Dance Festival for ‘Embodied’ to commemorate the Proclamation of Irish Independence (2016); The Moor, an ensemble piece commissioned by Company Le Marchepied in Switzerland (2015); the quartet Fit/Misfit (2013), which continues to tour with over 40 performances to date. Iseli-Chiodi will present the new full-length quartet Merlin in March 2019.
