Acerina Amador

 

Choreographer and performer. She studied in Barcelona and Berlin and completed her studies at the Choreographic Creation Dance Research and Training Programme PEPCC, at Forum Dança (2010) studying with Meg Stuart, João Fiadeiro, Deborah Hay, Miguel Pereira, Patricia Portela, Vera Mantero, Loic Touzé, Emmanuelle Huyhn, Mark Tompkins, Nuno Bizarro, among many others. Scholarship for Master in performing practices and culture Visual of the University Alcalá de Henares, with Juan Domínguez and Amalia Fdez as tutors.

 

Her works on A propósito de Vermelho (2009), Placeres extraños repito placeres extraños (2010), Aun vivas y en proceso (2010), Art & Life: Good Work (2011), Cualquier tiempo pasado fue mejor (2012), Les Stripteases de Aidi Eisidi (2013), played in different countries and contexts, mainly in Europe and in China. She worked with artists such as Marco Berrettini, Deborah Hay, Ana Borralho & João Galante, Vera Mantero, Javier Cuevas, Trajal Harrell, Superamas, Josep María Martín, Michelle Boulé, Wojtekz Ziemilski, Vera Soa Mota, Ana Trincao, Viviane Moin, Mauricio Glez, Javier Alemán. Invited by ImPulstanz Festival in Vienna as Dancewebber in 2010 and 2013, and in the international meeting 2011 SKITE in Caen.

Auditorium of Tenerife has produced their work in recent years. She coordinates the international project No Borders 2014 with Vangelis Legakis, at TEA and Guimerá Theatre in Tenerife. Degree in psychology, specialized in Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, functional analytic psychotherapy.

It is the attempt to make the foreground and an approach to scene of two women, Acerina and Mariana. An intimate and human portrait that reveals to the viewer stories, memories, concerns, desires and frailties, exposing a world touched by joy, the anger, melancholy, humor, injustice, pleasure, falsehood, solidarity, death, love. A relentless pursuit to find themselves at times and on friction with which still means being a woman in the world.
